For install instructions to load any carrier 8130 OS onto your BB:
1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Also got it while it was still up. Its been working great thus far, I registered and got sheets to go without a problem. At first my memory shot up to 18 mb free but that has since leveled out to about 15 or so after a softreset. Which are all dramatically higher than the 11 I was starting out with prior to the 4.5 install (I did delete mobi pocket reader though and the install seems to have deleted all my previous emails-DM was having a problem backing up the messages but it saved all my texts) have noticed 2 random things though:
1) on 4.3, when streaming from moodio I would be able to switch to other tasks. Now if I try to do anything, I.e. go to the home screen or even just hit the menu button, the media player will pause and stop the stream. Which then has to re buffer. I guess in 4.3 the media player treated the stream as if it were playing a song which could be played in the background, whereas now it treats it as a video which will only play if it is the main focus of the screen. Perhaps for the sake of saving the battery? Is anyone else having this problem or can suggest a workaround?
2) I might just be misinterpreting this, but it seems like with 4.5 you no longer need software installed on a computer to charge via USB. I charge my BB via usb at work where I am not allowed to install anything because I keep forgetting to bring in an outlet charger and moodio sucks up a lot of energy. So without alternatives, I dealt with the constant messages about insufficient power to charge via usb, and the extremely long times it would take.
Now, with 4.5, I no longer get those messages and it charges as quickly as if it were plugged into a DM installed computer!

I am running v4.3.0.81 (Platform 3.1.0.40) and having a bit of trouble with lagging... would it benefit me to the upgrade shown for the multilanguage since the other update has been pulled?

ok so i have a blackberry pearl 8100 and i am trying to update it. I have followed your instructions perfectly but for some reason i am never promted to update my blackberry and even when i go through app loader i still dont get prompted to update my blackberry. whats going on?

seems to be .56 .66 is newer
So is this release the same .56? or is it updated a little from .56?? Just looked at my phone. everything identical to .56 for except package version. and the zip file i downloaded awhile back is named identical to this one for except the carrier name.
