Default 8130 Error

I'm new to this site so im sorry if I am posting in the wrong section.

I am having an error that not a soul in the company of Sprint has any idea what it is.

When I try to make a call I get a screen that says called Failed please try again. and then starts beeping like the disconnected sound.

Then

When I try to send a text (while not on a call) it says Failed to Send Message packet Error.

This happened randomly throughout the day... and it will be okay sometimes. But the phone more so never works now. It's been going on for a week now.

Also while it's doing that if you try to call me the phone goes straight to voicemail. But the phone shows a FULL signal and the internet works...

So I called sprint when it first started talked to tech support and BB tech support with them... Noone could figure out why it does it. Then I took it to the sprint store for a tech to look at it.. He just looked confused and lost and said he couldnt fix it. So they replaced the phone. with a new one. Then The new one started doing the same thing too. Then sprint sent me ANOTHER PEARL. Now the new one is doing the same thing. So I changed the number to see if that would fix it... but no still the same issue.. So now sprint is sending me my 4TH phone not a pearl this time.

All this started last friday morning.

Please does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Have they given you a new SIM card? If not walk down to the store, tell them what is going on and say you would like to try a new one. They should oblige!

Good Luck!

Uh oh! It's CDMA you are right? (Sorry!) But after FOUR phones you would think they would get a clue.... why don't you ask them you re-provision your account since it's obviously not hardware. It doesn't only happen in the same geographic area does it? What signal indicator do you have when it happens?

I agree, after four handsets all having the same problem, I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Yeah they provisioned the account like 3 times already! It's so odd that noone knows.

And the signal says 1xEV or 1X with all the status bars filled.

Ok, I say walk into the store and look at them with a look that says you are STUPID and say you have given me four new devices all of which have had the same problem you have "Told" that you have re-provisioned my account. Would you like to do it for real this time or will you release me from my contract so that I can find a functional carrier.... I think they will resolve it for you. You just have to be firm but polite.

Good Luck and I hope that you get it solved!

WHAT?!?! I would not accept that! I would walk down and say I want a working 8130. What are they going to do if you 8830 does the same exact thing? Don't do it!

Maybe suggest to them that if they can't fix the problem permanently, you could see if another carrier can.

i don't know if this a[[lies to you, and i hate to be the bearer of bad news. i ended up having to go to verizon for the same issue last night and i had to do what they call a hard reset, which means to go back to original specs. evrything is deleted and it's like it just came out of the store
