Default 8120 won't charge on any wall charger, but will on usb

I got a used blackberry 8120 from a guy on craigslist, and the only problem is i cant charge it using a wall charger, but it charges via usb. I have tried 3 different chargers, all of which work with my brother's 8100. It works on any computer, but no wall. I ordered a new battery off Amazon thinking maybe the battery? No. If anybody has any solutions or ideas i would be very greatful.

I've never heard of that problem. It sounds like a problem with the charging circuitry in the BlackBerry, but I can't think of a scenario that fits.

The blackberry charging port has three pins. One of those pins responds to wall charger, one responds to USB cables, and the other responds to car chargers.

It looks like the wall charger pin in your blackberry's charging port is damaged. You'll have to replace the entire charging port. For a blackberry 8120 it's not worth it since it'll cost anywhere from $35-$50 to get replaced and the blackberry 8120 isn't worth that much anymore. I suggest getting another 8120 instead of going through the hassle of getting the charging port replaced.

The charging port cost so much to replace because the repair shop has to weld the port onto the main board of the blackberry.

Thanks for a plausible explanation of the symptoms.

that makes a whole lot of sense, though i havent tried a car. I'll keep mine, it'll just be a little harder to charge. Thanks for helping me figure this out.
