Hi, I bought the bb pearl 8120 on orange and can honestly say I love it! I bought through play.com which cost me £134.99, however it came with 2 £10 top up vouchers (one of which my wife stole haha) and a free media card, so the cost was nothing really.
The phone is great and you'll slowly find yourself relying more and more on it as time goes on! When you first get it take a while just to play around and change things. Its fun to learn! I played none stop for about a week, so much so I thought I was starting to get arthritis in me thumbs lol. The keypad takes about 2 days to get used to, but once you're used to it you'll be speed typing in no time.
Ok, onto orange themselves. When I first received my phone I could receive texts and phone calls but nothing else. Disheartened I rang orange and was put through to orange blackberry support. As I was talking through the bb and needed to be able to do what she said the kindly lady rang my landline. After 20 minutes of her patiently waiting for my phone to constantly boot after a battery pull etc she explained that it could be because my new sim was unregistered. I was out through to orange cs and registered the sim to me. Within 2 minutes I started to receive confirmation messages etc and bobs your uncle, fanny,s your aunt my bb worked, as a bb.
Add this to the fact that the blackberry package with orange costs only £5 a month which is taken from your credit once a month; and I must add that you get regular reminders about 3 days before it is due to be taken and have the option to send a stop message if you choose not to renew.
I am also on the dolphin calling plan which gives me free texts as well depending on the amount you top up the previous month. This month I've had unlimited free texts!
All in all I love this phone, its sleek, smart and sexy and having the perks of the orange network is a bonus!
