8120 Housing Replacement Question

Please help if you can:
I've just purchased a used 8120 and am trying to replace the housing. All seemed to go fine except the keyboard will not make contact with the phone's internal key buttons. Upon investigation, the old phone's keyboard sits lower than the new keyboard. Has anyone seen this?

Are you using the right parts? Original Blackberry parts? Maybe it's not installed properly. Look for a video on youtube, it may help.
