Hi Guys,Just got my 8100 delivered.

Basically bought it on ebay (never again). It's unlocked and no issues using it with Optus. Got a voice plan and a data plan.

This is where the problem is - when Optus (Australian network) tries to register a bbclient in my name, it says there is an existing client already registered by my PIN. Optus asked me to contact the ebay person who needs to contact T-Mobile to de register the PIN so Optus can register my BB client.

ANyone face same issues ? Anyway getting around this ?

Please assist. Greatly appreciated. Makes no difference when I tried to wipe the data.

This is typical and your carrier is correct. The previous owner needs to unregister his PIN from their carrier.

Well, the phone was sold to me as brand new !! So there technically should not be a registered owner.

That aside, anyone to get around this ? Can I myself somehow crack this ?

Sorry no. I would start a complaint with Ebay and Paypal.

Phuc - I have contacted the seller. If they do come back -ve, then just return the phone for refund I suppose.

Sure this registered user can not be deleted somehow ?
