Hey guys, decided I must get a BlackBerry. My problem is, I can't decide which one I should get. I'm undecided between the 8100 and the 8130.

I plan to mod the **** out of it, and I do not like the idea of having to color the LED for the 8130, and I don't want to get an 8100 if it's a substantial downgrade.. So can you tell me personal experiences, etc? Thanks.

    8100 GSM
    8130 CDMA
Different network and will not work on each others networks. Do you have a SP?

If you're on a GSM carrier then you won't be able to use the 8130. I'm not sure which models are available on T-mobile, but the GSM Pearls are the 8100, 8110 (includes GPS) or 8120 (includes wifi). The 8100 has a slightly different keyboard, doesn't have GPS or wifi or the ability to record video. It has a 1.3mp camera, as opposed to 2mp on the late models.

I'm just gonna guess that you missed these post or dont understand what GSM/CDMA is.

I didn't at first, but now I do. I was looking forward to being able to take videos with the 8100, but now that I see even with 4.5, it won't be possible.

I also see there are no black 8110s or 8120s, is this correct?
