B4 the upgrade i had optimized to like 19-20MB running,

I had to delete Docs to Go, just to get to maybe 17-18MB...

thought 4.5 would improve mem mgmt...

    thoughts?

    42 MB? On a Pearl? Can't be.

I'm running about 15-16 with DocstoGo, probably going to delete it since I don't use it at the moment. Not great but not horrible. I've seen others running steady at about 20, not sure how, would like to know. I keep 14 days worth of e-mails, don't keep any SMS (don't get a lot anyway), and have google maps and weathereye (both of which might have memory leak issues). I always make sure I close out of all my apps, and I have Pearl shut down automatically every night. Haven't had to do a soft reset for memory issues in a while.

So im runnin 18-20 now, soft resetin at least twice a day..

Im using another carriers 4.5 (Cellular South) and noticing a little delay/bugginess when i type emails/SMS's, and Viigo has been actin kinda strangely to; wont let me log in, noticed it has a big ol memory leak when i unin/reinstaled it..

i want to try out MobiReader, theres this 25 language phrase book app that requires it; also considerin OperaMini... Ohh the addiction!!

Viigo may be onthe chopping block if i cant stay above 17...

22.4mb on the 8110. 17mb on the 8120 set up and optimized the same. Wi-fi uses more memory than GPS I guess.

To get a little more hold alt and hit L G L G. Then hit menu and clear log. Then menu again and options. Change min log level to debug. Hit menu and select hide all types. Save and exit.

Vnd I don't remember how big help is. Connect to your pc and go into app loader. You will see help and out beside of it its size. Uncheck the box and app loader will go ahead and remove it.

Why in the **** would you keep 10,000 text messages?
Anyway, I have all the apps installed that are seen in my signature and show about 17-18 mb after running soft reset.
