My phone was doing just fine. I had 1XEV. Now I have 1x...or nothing at all.

I have the BB Pearl 8130

v 4.5.0.89 (Platform 3.2.0.52)

Please help.

That happened to me twice. Once I forgot to pay my bill (oops) and the other my radio somehow got turned off. Check to make sure your radio is on.

Thanks for the reply! I tried taking the battery out to reset...that actually worked. yay! I did check the radio too though...Thanks for that advice.

Select your manage connections icon then mobile network options then network technology and select 1XEV. I did this and my phone is always on 1XEV and as a added side effect it conserves battery life.

My phone is having the same problem as OP.
I've tried battery pulls and the radio, but the connection keeps cutting off.

Any suggestions?

i have an altell perl, call Advanced tech support first time they were dumbfounded then called again and the dude knew excatly how to fix it. sadly it was awhile ago and i only remember one part. dial ##000000 and make sure the sip id is correct (yournumber)@(bb.altel.net) my password was altell don't remember what else i had to do but ya sorry probably doesn't help much
