will my bb pearl 8100 work with koodo?

hi i have a blackberry pearl 8100 that i bought used from someone, they told me it had been unlocked and i was just wondering if it would work if i went to koodo?

Well if the blackberry is unlocked then yes it would work with any carrier including Koodo. You can check to see if it's unlocked by doing the following:

1. Go to settings
2. Go to options
3. Go to advanced options
4. Go to sim card
5. Type MEPD
6. If it says ACTIVE next to NETWORK then it's LOCKED
7. If it says DISABLED next to NETWORK then it's UNLOCKED

it wont let me type anything but at the top it says sim card: security disabled and the below it it says idthen the id number).. whats that supposed to mean?

you can check the koodo site's FAQ and look for
phone compatibility
and enter the imei code. it should tell you if it will work with their network

Unfortunately the 8100 doesn't work with koodo... I'm in the same boat as you. I'm hoping it'll work for wind cause they have amazing deals on right now but I doubt it.
