Default way to keep LED light red?

i've recently acquired a blackberry pearl and i'm wondering if there is a way/application to keep the LED light blinking red until i've read the sms or looked at the missed phone call (instead of timing out after 15 min)

i know there is an app like buzzme, however i really don't need all those customizations and was wondering if anyone knew of a free app to just keep the light red until the sms has been read

thanks!

There are two apps that I know of that customize the notification LED. ColorID and BerryBuzz, or BeBuzz as it's known in the BlackBerry App World.

I don't know much about them. I've only tried one for a few days some time ago.

But, along with customizing the color of the notification based on what kind of notification you're getting (different email accounts, coming from different specific contacts, etc.), I think you can adjust the blink speed and for how long it blinks.

Look them both up on google. Each can be found and loaded outside of App World if you don't have it. I believe one has a limited use free version while the other one just has a free short trial period.

I don't know of any app that simply leaves the LED flashing indefinitely, or at least until checked.

Good luck.

On my Pearl the option exists in settings> screen/keyboard.
Try in there, mine gives options for on/off/how long flashing etc.
Good luck!

Which model Pearl and which OS version?

My 8100 with the most recent OS 4.5 available has no such option. The only LED option in "Screen/Keyboard" that I have is for "LED coverage indicator". That only turns on the green LED whenever you're on your carrier's network. Which is rather obnoxious and the reason most people leave it off.

The only other LED setting is in each profile for each type of notification. And even there your only options are "on" or "off".
