Volume Question
alright well i love pretty much everything about my phone except for the volume.
Ive seen threads about ppl missing calls because they dont hear it when its in there pocket , has this issue been fixed with newer versions? i have v4.2.1 and i miss calls all the time because i cant hear them despite my volume being set to high and 100%.
if im in the car listening to the radio forget about it , i dont hear the ringer at all unless the song changes and it rings at that time lol. But families razr , krzr , w580i and friends that have a nokia n95 all can hear it everytime they ring.
Am i just going to have to set it to vibrate+tone and hope that i hear or feel it , or is there a fix to make the volume louder in newer versions? I just assume its not a Loud phone because its geared more to the business world and not listening to music.
Still a great phone

One of the first things I did when I got my Pearl was buy a different back with access for the speakers--for just the problem you speak of--it helped a LOT. You can probably find one in the forum store....
Also have you checked to make sure that your volume is actually SET for loud? I found that even if I turn it up, if it is set for medium in the profiles, it won't get but SO loud. So go to profiles, advanced, and phone, and see what your phone is set for, and what the ringer is--I use the bonjour one bc it is a louder one.
Now I can be in the kitchen, and hear my phone if it rings in the bedroom. Hope that helps.....cause when they own the information, they can bend it all they want. - 10-13-2008, 01:57 PM
