Default USB Toubles

Im trying to connect my BB to my Laptop, via USB. Normal, right? Trying to Download FaceBook.(its part of my data package..)

It gives me this when I try to download Facebook on my PC, to my phone.

The BlackBerry USB Driver is not installed. Please install the correct USB driver to download the application.

Do you have Desktop Manager installed on your PC? Missing that would be the only reason for that message I can think of.

It's the software required to do back ups, switch devices, install apps through the PC, synch with outlook, blah blah blah. Look in the lecture series or how-to to get details on it. Here's the download link for all versions. Personally I woud suggest 4.6 without media manager:

Thanks for the help. I downloaded it,and got it all set up.. and it is now saying my BB doesn't have the requirements to support facebook? I have no idea whats going on.

Also, desktop manager is asking me for a device pin and password and I dont know what to put for that. I sound like a total moron, but im honestly beyond frusterated and confused with BB's

Facebook I know can be a PITA. You may have your browser set wrong. In Options->Browser Configuration, make sure it's set to BlackBerry for Emulation Mode or Browser Type.
The password just leave blank and hit ok, unless you have one set. The pin it should automatically recognize.

BTW, I know it can be frustrating. Spend a lot of time looking through the How-To threads, and Lecture Series. That will help a bunch.

Well there's your problem right there. That stuff gets pushed automatically. Most US carriers will force a data plan on a BB whether you want it or not. Really, I find it odd when someone has a BB and doesn't have a plan.

No, I understood. The facebook app works through your browser, so without that included, it's useless.
