there are three colors under the trackball? mines onlyy white and has been since i got it. lol :P

am i able to do this on a mac? or would i have to find a PC?

the link you provided for the OS requires a company and address and the like. is there any way to get around that?

There were a batch of defective ones, but hopefully it's just a setting with the lights.

Still doesn't show OS upgrades as possible, but even if it did, you'd have to hand shrink the OS. The whole process would be so much easier on a PC. Only Mac way I know, is running boot camp.

The only thing that has to be filled in accurately is the email. Most of the time I complete it with my info, and since it's for personal use, company is n/a. If I'm in a rush and it's not a PC I've been on before, just xxxx works for all but the email.

If you're on an 8100 there is no 4.6 OS. What model BlackBerry do you own?

DM4.7 was the buggiest version ever released. You can use any version you would like. I suggest no Media Manager, because most agree it's easier to manage your media files yourself.

Not at all. If you read through the guide, I tell you how to load it on any carrier. I even made the guide for use with any device. If you have specific questions after reading it, I'll be glad to help.
