Unbranding Pearl 8100

Hey everyone, first thread here..
Does anyone have a tutorial or link on how to remove branding from the firmware? or maybe a stock complete update or something..
Is this even possible? cause everywhere i look there are only carrier branded OS..are there stock OS existing? can someone please explain this to me?

The 'Branding' screen is hard burned into the firmware, it cannot be removed or changed.

It can be removed. Did it when i got my pearl and instead of AT&T, the blackberry logo and stuff was displayed. Also got access to a number of new menus that were previously locked.

A google search will get u started. Forgot the name of the software i used.

im new to blackberry so excuse me..

I know there are alot of carrier blackberry OS, but are there any strictly stock OS?
With no carrier branding?
I never came across one thats why im asking..thanks again..

A leaked or beta OS will not have carrier branding. However, your carrier's splash screen will still appear no matter what OS you use.

We are not allowed to discuss the software. It is proprietary and not meant to be used by the general public.

Dont understand why..
But i guess i cant argue with that..
but just to be clear..this "software" u talk about DOES exist? and it can unbrand the phone?

The software is proprietary RIM software and not meant (or legal) for public use. You can permanently damage your phone on top of that. This software is not discussed on CrackBerry.
