Trackball click dome replacement

I recently lost the copper click dome for my phone, so i ordered a replacement. I only see tutorial videos for replacing the sticker dome. This piece is the entire black square under the trackball.. is it safe to just remove and switch this part? any ideas or how to info? I dont want to make the phone useless. THANKS

Just install it as it is on the video... Something like tweezers would help you place the sticker dome "perfectly" on the square. I was replacing my whole case so i had the casing off which made it easier... Dont worry its simple...
