Default Soldering?

Has anyone soldered his or her own blackberry volume button before?

Any tips??

Cause both of my volume button fell off from the mother board and I need to solder it.

Thank you so much!

I haven't done it, but I would recommend a very fine tip and a steady hand. I don't know if you are an experienced solderer, but you don't want to burn the circuit board up or you may need to get a new phone. Also are you sure it is the solder? I would think something actually broke off. How did it happen?

i got a phone from my friend and I was installing new housing for it. And then two small things fell off the mother board. I guess I touched it and it fell off so I think it is the soldering, but not sure
and I am not willing to pay 50 something dollars to get that thing fixed.

be VERY careful if you are going to try and solder them back on (if that is why they came off) when the PCB is built at the factory they are cold soldered because the buttons are very tiny and if they get TOO hot they will not work any more (the center pieces are plastic and will melt rendering them useless)

Is there a particular type of solder wire for soldering blackberry charging ports?
