rogers prepaid data/wap

I got a sim card off ebay and activated it online with my pearl 8100 on the $25 "call, text, and click" plan. The data worked great for a day on all my apps then all of a sudden nothing worked except for rogers home page. Trying to use data on other apps errors, if I use rogers wap browser i get this "You have attempted to use the internet without a valid data plan", then goes on to tell me I need to buy this $3 add on daypass if i want to use wap browsing. It also sends a sms after with the same thing. Called rogers and they basically told me a few months ago they stopped allowing all smart phones from using data except for this day pass thing.

So what can I do here? Shouldn't this have been something rogers told me before giving them my money. I went through the sign up process and looked at all the disclaimers and the only thing i could find was this "Includes unlimited on-device mobile browsing, excluding tethering (use of device as wireless modem) on select Rogers certified devices". What if I call in and change the IMEI will it unblock my data? Why is this done in the first place? They only want people using [b][/b][b][/b][b][/b][b][/b]ty phones that makes wap internet ugly and useless? At the very least I am calling in and demanding a credit considering i paid $25 to have unlimited sms and free calling for a few hours a day.

1. (sorry if this sounds rude) why the heck would you buy a sim of ebay, i mean of all places why ebay, couldn't you like drive to a "valid" rogers dealer or sumthing?

2. Call customer service, thiss once happened to me, they told me why it going so fast.
