remove logo?

anyone know how to remove the service provider logo branded on to the phone without ruining the surface?

For your first question, leave well alone. Am sure in time you'll want to sell the device,WITHOUT scratches and the likes...

For your second question, no can do! It's embedded into the device - no matter of reloading an OS, by another carrier would remove it - unless you know someone at RIM!

I have heard that you can scrape the logo off of your device by gently using a sugar cube. YMMV, I take no responsibility if you scratch your case up, though. The sugar is supposed to be soft enough to take off the logo without gouging the case material.

Sugar Cube will not work on new BB device as the logos are not placed on the device as they used to be.

Hmm, true, the logo is not raised up at all. From the disassembly pics, it does look like the logo is on a swappable plastic part, though. Anyhoo, my OEM rubber skin covers it up right nicely.
