Default Problems with 3rd party applications

Hi! I recently purchased an unlocked BB Pearl 8120 from EBay. The phone works great except that it will not connect to third party applications such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, or even Blackberry App World. Whenever I try to connect it says something about me not having a data plan and contacting my service provider. Well I have T-Mobile and called them up the other day to ensure they added Blackberry Internet Service to my phone. (After reading online that BIS usually was the culprit.) The agent confirmed that the service was added and even directed me to the online services page on my account to show me it was on there. (Which obviously it was.)

The phone does connect to the internet via the data plan and I can browse, surf, even download apps. It's just when I go to use said apps that it refuses. Any help/ideas/tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!
