POP3 Not Work on the Pearl?

This may be a dumb question, and if so just let me know, but I'm looking online at a Pearl 8100 and according to the site (usedphonesuk), the phone is not able to handle POP3 accounts. Is this something I need to be worried about if my work uses POP3? I've read on the forums here how you can just forward your email to the @blackberry account, but I'd rather have my emails direct rather than as a forward from myself each time. If the site is incorrect though and it's easy to set up a POP3 account once you have a SIM set up with a provider then I'm all for it. Thanks.

You have to have a data plan set up with BIS. It's through the BIS that the pop3 accounts work. In some countries, a BIS plan is an extra cost that varies greatly depending on the carrier.

It happens that in the US, there is no extra cost - at least not through AT&T.
