PLEASE HELP, someone calling others from my number

I have had my blackberry pearl for a few years now and have had no problems with it whatsoever. Last night around 9 PM, I received a call from an unknown number (with same area code), and the owner said she received 3 calls and a prerecorded voicemail from my number. I happened to be in a place with very little service and absolutely did not make these calls. The voicemail was clearly a fraud/scam situation and asked for credit card information and if the person had been in Guatemala recently. AT&T was of no help today, just received another call from yet another unknown number saying the exact same thing. I am reading that there is no virus for blackberries, please, I appreciate any help on this because I really don't know what to do, nor do I appreciate someone else having access to make calls from my number. (my phone has NOT been out of my possession at any point in time).

It sounds like someone is using a caller I.D. spoofer. There is no virus on blackberry that would make random calls with prerecorded voice mails that I've heard of and I've been using a berry for five years now. I would get on the line with AT&T again and tell them they had better help to resolve the situation since they're the ones who have your number in their database and gave it to you. You might end up having to get a new number though. Good luck.

Yea, the best thing to do is get a new number. Either you can raise **** with AT&T and tell them this is bad customer service.
