pictures, ringtones, music, and videos all "locked"

next to each thumbnail of a picture in my media, there is a little lock. and in the ringtones, whenever i try to preview a ringtone it says "unable to display file". Same with Videos and music. I can't access ANY of my media. Does anyone know how to "unlock" this media?

Is your device, perhaps, connected to your company's BES server? If so, it's possible your BES Admin has locked down the media files.

The lock on the pictures is just BB's way of keeping those photo's to themselves so you won't be able to copy them and share them. As far as the other types of media you are trying to view, what format are they in?

Music is in m4a, video is in avi, pictures are png, and ringtones are mid.

check out the formats it needs to be in, you haz wrong formats.

i have recorded many videos on my phone and sent them via bbm and email, butnever had a video be "locked" before. i was just wondering if someone knows how to unlock the video so that when i send it via bbm or email the video can be seen by the person im sending it to??
