Phone not reading SD Card, but adapter and PC are...

I have a SanDisk 4GB SD Card, and when I put it in my 8100, it always says something like "Media Card not verified" and "Please make sure your Media Card is formatted" Every time I try to format, it always says error, and when I put the Media Card in the adapter, then into my PC, it reads it just fine, I can view all my songs, pics, and vids there. Is it just my phone, or what? Please help me.

I woiuld remove all the files off the card. Use the adapter, and then format it on the PC. If it's an SD use FAT, and SDHC use FAT32. Then put it in the Pearl, and after a battery pull, format it again. Once that's successful you can load up your media any way you choose.

whenever, their is a situation like SD card is not responding or working. Then their might be a possibility of virus in the memory card.
