Only Upload arrow flashes

Hi,
I'm having a horrible issue with my pearl. Currently I can turn it on and everything on it works EXCEPT making/receiving phone calls or sending/receiving texts. I can see that only the upload arrow flashes, the download arrow does not flash anymore EVER. It can't seem to connect to the network at all. I tried a turning it on and off, switching different SIM cards and I"m at my wits end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a service related issue, but not uncommon to have to turn off your wireless service, and turn it back on again either. I travel in and out of buildings all day, and find many times I must do this to reconnect with data. Also, try this setting for your TCP:

Options, Advanced Options, TCP

APN: isp.cingular
Username for APN: leave blank
Password for APN: leave blank

Just to be clear, don't type leave blank in there, just leave it blank.
