Need help unlocked but unable to use

If there is a page about this please send me in the right direction and any help is appreciated... first I have a unlocked 8100 and I just bought a go phone so I could use the sim on it.. Now when I put the sim from the go phone the pearl can't find anything. Nothing works... --- I borrowed a co-workers sim (he has att) and my pearl worked great. Picked up his messages and everything... so what am I missing??

I already tried to manually put the att wap into the tcp so???? - update well I put the tcp back to empty like it was before... and I am updating the os now... hopefully this will help..... but any help is appreciated
--- ok will it actually downgraded to v.4.5 from 5.0... -- still no service.

Well I swapped a tmobile sim and a new Iphone sim card and it worked great so I sold my BB to a friend. SHe needed an upgrade and I needed money so bye bye BB...
