Moving a 8130 from Sprint to Verizon

I have a 8130 pearl I don't use and would like to give it to a friend who needs a phone... It's currently on Sprint and my friend is on Verizon.. She stopped into the Verizon store and they told her to buy a new phone.. Any chance someone knows a "work around " to get this phone flipped over to Verizon from Sprint

Not gonna happen, there's no "work around"

CDMA carriers (Sprint and Verizon) don't activate phones that aren't theirs. If it doesn't show up in their database then they won't accept it.
