Default Memory Card help!

I just got a 4G memory card for my Pearl, but when i try to download programs and applications it tells me that there is insufficient space for the program. How do I put all of my pictures and ringtones onto the card so that they aren't taking up space? Or is there another way to fix this?

The only thing you can store on you card is media. Go into your media options and set them to save pics, ringtones and music to the card. I can't recite step by step off the top of my head but you can figure it out pretty easily. While your in there change the internal pic memory to 0 and the reserved memory amount to its lowest setting.

I had to do this today.
1. puchase a card reader, VZW sells them for under $15.00
2. create seperate files on the PC for pictures, videos, ringtones etc.
3. transfer the above files into the correct folder
4. put the card into the NEW BB.
5. select options, memory card and the settings should be the following
a.Media Card Support - ON
b. Encryption - OFF
c. Mass Storage - ON
d. Auto Enable - Prompt
6. Menu key - then select FORMAT CARD
7. PUT THE CARD BACK INTO THE CARD READER and into the PC.Transfer the pictures into the picture file on the memory card and repeat for videos/ music etc.

You are done!

Sorry OP, you shouldn't have to deal with that.
You want your device memory limit as high as it will go, this will shorten scan time. Reserve you set at zero.

Hi

I'll be interested to know whether memory card over 2 GB is supportable or not.
