Default internal components damaged!!!

hi im new to this forum. from Australia. I've dropped my blackberry in freshwater three times and fixed it new. but this time i dropped it in ocean still works but as i was opening up the case, the strip right at the bottom has torn. this question is for the serious phone fixers out there. can this part be replaced? if so where can i get this component strip?

:P My volume buttons are busted off the motherboard, so I feel your pain. When your speakerphone AND headset volumes are stuck at 100%, it's awful.

Hopefully there is a quick solution to the epic tape-damage problem..

Hopefully you don't mind, but I have sort of the same problem, but I took your first pic, and put it in my thread, to give people a better description as to what I was talking about.

I posted this exact reply to "Damaged Piece."

Mikey D (& locoberry) - I think you're talking about the phone's antenna. Glued on green tape looking thing that maybe says "HDW-11497" on it? It will tear a bit every time you remove the bottom cover, but the phone should still work. Don't worry about it unless you lose reception. If this happens, the only way I know of fixing this is to purchase a complete case that has the antenna already installed.

But locoberry, you should worry about making the Blackberry swim so often, now that's not good! I've seen 2 units get dropped in the toilet and both did not recover. You've been very fortunate.

Hope this helps.
