Help Transfering Photo Files

I have a bunch of photos on my phone that I want to transfer to my computer. I have tried connecting a usb but no files show up to grab onto my computer. Is there a way to put them into a particular file so that I can transfer them? This seems like it should be so easy but I am at a loss. I also don't have email set up or I could just email them to myself. I know, I am a crappy Blackberry user...

Ok but I suggest you to transfer it from bluetooth. it take more time then cable but you can Transferring your photos in to your pc.

Ok, I hate to sound dumb, but how do I do it from bluetooth? Do I have to synch my computer to my phone?
