Help!! Blackberry Won't Turn on, Red Flashing Light!

My blackberry 8100 won't turn on. The red LED light flashes twice in a row then pauses and then flashes 2 times again and so on. I tried taking out the battery and the red LED light still flashes even when the battery is out. When i connect it to my computer with the USB cable, the computer does not recognize the device at all. What do I do?

Put the battery in plug it into a wall charger, leave it alone for a while then come back and pull the battery, put it back in and see if it starts up.

what pre empted this issue?

Were you trying to install something or installing something? Get it wet? Need a little more info .. If it is doing that though take a look in the how to section under how to recover a dead blackberry

I OFFICIALLY HATE THIS PHONE, I mean really, first i wake up and it looks like i have a text, because the phone is blinking red lights. . . Nope, its like it is dead. . . Odd, Considering its plugged in! well i call sprint, what a bunch of bright people i talked to there, so after about an hour on the phone with them they say "Humm maybe i should give you the number to Blackberry tech. . . i was like, that might help. So i call them, they tell me the operating system may have fried, and i could purchace one online at their site. . . WTF? why would i pay for something that should have screwed up in the first place? so i said screw it and just never bothered, a month later, my fiances cousin comes over, plugs the phone it and it turns on, so im like. . . sweet! so im trying to get my pictures and contacts out and the freaking thing dies again. . . i hate BLACKBERRY!

I hooked up my pink verve to my laptop and it said stuff so I tried to exist out of the DM would not work. Now my phone will not power up it the red light keeps blinking. Im scared I may have erased all my stuff in my phone by mistake!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I don't know what to do.
Last night i dropped my phone in a drink and got it out pretty much straight away. I was at a party and they didn't have any rice, i tried couscous. anyway, today i've had it in rice in the airing cupboard, its plugged in to the charger and the batterys in it but like above its flashing red twice, stopping, flashing twice again. this is the most i've seen it do all day. whats wrong? what can i do to bring it back to life?
