    Default colored folders in 8100

Ok, I keep reading that the upgrade to 4.5.69 was going to give me back my colored folders, and I don't have them......and before the rude people tell me to search, I did, and I can't find anything on this.......

So did I read that correctly, and if so, is there a reason I don't have the colored folders? It is the one thing I am not crazy about in the new upgrade.

I think if you deleted the vendor themes the ability to create
colored folders is lost, regardless of the OS version.

If you remove the wallpaper cod, you lose the colored folders options. Reed explains the effect in his Memory Optimization Procedure, linked in my sig. I wasn't aware that 4.5 restored the capability, but if it does, that's good.

Yeah, I found that out on another forum.....I guess the next question is, how do I get it back?

Restore the wallpaper cod that you removed. Assuming you simply moved it to another folder, move it back. Reed's procedure will tell you where to put it. If you used CrackMem to remove it, CrackMem will have saved it as well and you can put it back. If you just deleted the file, you will have to reinstall your OS to get it back.

Actually, not so much--just installed the NEW OS, and though I can SEE the folders, they are not in the preloaded pix file.....so I STILL can't use them--DRAT!

YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAA! I got it to work! In one of the other folders someone mentioned that they DID have the folders in the ZEN theme--so I went there and lo and behold--there they were--so then I went back to the them I LIKE (currently the new Vista L)and THERE they were STILL!

Sigh, I am officially a happy girl!
