Blackberry 8100 turned off will not turn back on

My 8100 turned off and will not turn back on. I removed the battery and it turned back on but after about 15 min. it turned off again, and will not turn back on. I charged the battery that did not work either. Desktop Mgr does not show a device when I plug in. Red light is flashing 3 times then 2 times. Any suggestions. I installed new 4.5 os about 2 weeks ago but had been working fine.

I'm off to work in a few, so here's the short n sweet version:

It sounds like something got corrupted in your OS (operating system). You will need to wipe your phone (erase EVERYTHING including OS files) and re-install them.

There are a few threads on here that will help you. Search the forums for something like "recovering a nuked blackberry" or "installing a new OS"

Also search for "blackberry 101" its got a wealth of information (and as I recall, one of them is how to wipe/re-install your OS)
