Bb went from bad to worse

Someone gave me a Pearl 8100 to reload the OS for them, he was getting white screen with hour glass for 3 seconds then a black screen with solid red light then the white hour glass screen again, in a loop.

Downloaded latest OS 4.5 (i have no idea what OS was on the phone) and installed it on my pc, using DM 6.0 (really dont think this matters). Plugged the phone up to the usb, it installed drivers and what not, deleted vendor file as normally do. In Apploader screen, it showed me the PIN of the device no problems there, i hit next and it is now prompting me to enter the password for the device, now seeing that i WANT to reinstall the OS, i entered the wrong password 10 times, Apploader now says "Deleting User Data" (i think), and that was it..... immediately got a solid red light for over 1 minute then 2 flashing red lights then a pause and 2 flashing red lights again in a loop.

All this happened with a fully charged and functioning battery in the phone. When i take battery out and plug usb on phone same thing, when i plug the wall charger in phone without battery same thing. i Tried tons and tons of walk through and FAQs and still nothing, the pc will not recognize the phone again. i connected my own Bold to the same usb cord and it immediately began installing drivers.

I've read that if u install the original OS on ur pc it should work, problem is, the phone just not coming on, black screen, solid red light then 2 flashing red light @ 1 second intervals.

tried using JL Cmder
tried using BBSAK (latest version 1.8 i believe)
tried CrackMem

the only thing i havent tried is leave battery out of the phone for over 5hrs....

Help needed!
