Default bb pearl 8100 uncaught exception java.lang.out of memory

hey
hope someone can help me...my phone is running so slow (the hour glass is always working) and im always getting the out of memory message coming up which is not even allowing me to get in options...need some advice pleaseeeeeee

Take the battery out.
You probably need to delete some applications.
Are you on the most recent OS?

i keep having to take out the battery cause it takes forever to load even when i try to access bb messenger...how do i know which os i am running?

i cannot get into options cause the message keeps coming up....but i hook it up to the computer and it says device software 4.5.0.187

Congratulations, that's the most recent OS for your device.
You should delete some applications off your device, using Desktop Manager.

ok..cant i wipe the phone?would i lose all bb contacts?

That's also a good idea.
Reload the OS, just make sure to back-up prior to reloading, that'll save everything.

Same problem happened to me, I just made a back-up, wiped and installed the latest OS, with no apps and mine now runs 10x's quicker!
