Default 8100 says it's a 8130

So I've been away from BB for a while and am thinking about coming back.

I charged my old phone, downloaded the new software, etc. and it says "Thank you for purchasing your 8130" or something like that.

Is that just because I haven't activated it or just because it's what the new OS says?

Nothin' major just wondering.

OS 4.5.0.175
Even the "About" screen says it's a 8130.
Even so, isn't there very little difference form 8100 to 8130? Weird.

Ha Ha...I'm dumb. Ever since I've had the phone I thought it was an 8100. It's a 8130. (Facepalm) Thanks for the response though.

lol, yea the 8100 is a GSM device, it wouldn't work on Verizon. The 8130 is CDMA, which is designed for Verizon.

well, it's an 8100 series device, but unless it has a SIM card slot it isn't an 8100 device.
