will the blackberry pearl 3G 9110 work in the U.K from America

i am buying this phone via ebay and i was wondering if this phone would work with a o2 simcard in it (U.K) when the phone is from America like BBM, Internet and email and texts.

I have an ATT sim in my pearl 9100 and have used it in UK and Europe picking up whatever GSM networks are available, roaming of course. I see no reason why it will not work with any other sim card. My device is an unlocked pearl originally from a canadian carrier.
