Strange SMS problem in 9300

Hi Guys,
I am using Blackberry 9300 with OS 6.0.0.526. Earlier to this, I was using 6.0.0.499. The problem is that my SMS content are getting erased after few days, For example, today, SMS for date 10th April 2011 are showing the sender's name but content is blank. I had faced the issue with both the OS version.
Can someone guide me what exactly is the reason and troubleshoot it?

Go check out your settings in the options menu, like how many days a msg is kept in the berry for and so on. I am sure you would be able to find a solution. Cheers!!!

Have kept the Validity period as "max". So does that mean that berry can keep only 2 weeks SMS?

Validity period as max should keep your msgs forever, I am using a Pearl 9105 with .526 but have never heard or read about a problem such as yours, hopefully someone will come to your aid. If I do get any info about your issue, I will be sure to give you the heads up mate! Till then why dont you try taking your phone to your dealer/service provider and telling them about your issue.

I went to the dealer but he says that he can only format the phone which he did but the issue didnt go away

I'm wondering if this is something your carrier is doing, or maybe your BES Admin (if you are on a BES)

I dont have BES/BIS activated on my berry as of now.

Even i am facing the same issue on my BB 9300. SMSes prior to May 19th are showing the sender's name but content is blank. This looks like a empty draft message. I am desperate to restore them because i had lots of very important SMSes in my inbox.

Interestingly, i cannot find Email messages also prior to May 19. I have BIS in my BB.

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Device software version is 6.0.0.448.

I have yesterday upgraded to 6.0.0.576 hoping that this bug will disappear in it. Will update in couple of days.

Thank GOD, finally the problem seems to get disappeared after the update. one more thing I did was restoring only text and contacts from backup. No restoration of settings, etc.
I dont know which has exactly eliminated the problem but its gone for me

I am again facing the same problem. In fact it appeared after 2-3 days. Guys please help, what is going on with my BB I dont know.

I have the exact same problem
SMS messages prior to May 19th are blank. I can see the sender's name, but the message body is blank.
there's a green icon (like the Draft icon) next to the blank messages...

any solution?
