Default Sold Torch-waiting for pearl 3g to arrive

Well, I sold my Torch and bought a Pearl 3g. I'm waiting for it to arrive as i bought it last Sat and Monday night we had a huge snow storm here in OKlahoma. When looking at the UPS tracking, my Pearl has been all over the country looking for somewhere that isn't covered in snow! LOL! i bet this is the longest "next day air" delivery ever! HAHA! The Pearl left Little Rock AR. 3 days ago and i haven't seen anything on the tracking about it since. It just says it left Little Rock on the 3rd. I'm using my old Bold 9000 until it arrives and i can't wait for the pearl to get here!
I wanted the pearl as soon as i seen it on crackberry but, as everyone knows it took forever to become available on AT&T so i went ahead and bought the torch. The torch was for me, a fantastic phone....the first one i bought and that same week it was announced that the pearl was coming to AT&T soon but my 30 days to return the torch would be up by the time the pearl would be out. I figured i would have to keep the torch and buy a pearl later. The torch went white screen on me so i got a replacement from bestbuy (i love bestbuy's insurance!) so i put the torch on CL and sold it.

I think i will install OS 6 on the pearl soon as i really liked it on the torch, but i'm also going to see how the pearl runs on OS 5 for a little while. Any one have any pros and cons for running OS 6 on the pearl?

Here's the first "official" os6 for the 9100 that I've seen.

IT IS HERE!!!!! Man, It sure is a cool little phone! Just what i wanted, small, fast and does all the BB stuff we all love! I'm setting it up right now!
I think i will use it for a while with OS 5 on it and see what i think. I did notice that it seems to be very well built and doesn't have the gap between the screen and keyboard that alot of people have been talking about.

Hey, thanks for the link Blade! I'll check it out. I'll be back later with any updates i have for the new BB.

I have a similar dilemma - want to purchase a new phone, but not sure which between Pearl and Torch. I'm not a huge emailer or BBMer to be honest... Any point in getting a Torch?

Hey Buckoni - a few questions if its ok with you:
1. Why did you sell your Torch?
2. How are you finding the Pearl these days? Is it true call quality is subpar?
3. Happy with your decision?
4. What do you miss about the Torch?
5. What DON'T you miss about the Torch?
6. The technical specs show the Torch and Pearl as having the same battery life - is that accurate in practice?
7. Are you running OS 5 or 6? Which build?
- Many thanks!
