Petition for F-M1 extended battery (Pearl 3 G and Style)

Hello to all who are not happy with their standard F-M1 battery for their Pearl 3G or Style. As you know, most Blackberry models got their extended battery version, mostly by Seidio. But not our phones. And this is not fair. This is a petition to get enough votes to send to companies (meaning showing them a link to this thread) that could start producing extended batteries for our phones. If they see there will be people buying them, maybe they will start making them. So sign here and perhaps we will get extended battery for our phones!

you are the only one charging every day, update your os or take your device back there is nothing wrong with the oem battery imo

Yep, going to agree with you on this. I usually get 3 days out of my battery, and that's with wi-fi, bluetooth, messaging, internet, and phone usage.

I think when one goes between EDGE and 3G all the time the battery life can really suffer. so you leave your BT on all the time but you close apps after your done or what? I would have to be very careful to get 3 full days, I can do 2 and some change no problem. how long does it take for you to get a full charge if the unit is really run down from the AC charger?

I only turn my BT on when I'm in the vehicle, going to and from work (roughly 40-45 mins round trip) every day. It takes a few hours to get a full charge back onto the battery. I pretty much let my battery go all the way down to 10% or less before I charge it back up.

Thank you kindly for your input, but I am not the only one, I have friends complaining and I have seen complaints from people online too. You have every right not to be interested in this, but for those of us who need this, could you possibly do us a favor and not actively prevent this from happening? Because it is simply not true I am the only one, you may be lucky with very good sygnal but many of us are not and it is not normal to have this big battery losses just because of that. There are usesrs of other phones with stronger batteries living in the same areas and they are happy, why? Because they have different phones and many do in fact have stronger batteries than this one does, it is a kind of phone that needs a better battery. Thank you so much!

I still collect votes for this, thanks! Or contact Seidio or Mugen via email and suggest it to them.

I would like to petition! my battery dies usually less than 36 hours and I dont even do that much on it, I got pearl 9105 I have full charge in the morning and by night I usually have less than half charge, the recharge is really fast tho so i dont mind, recharge is amazingly fast i mean wowow how does a phone charge so fast? its amazing but it would be nice to have a longer battery life.

i'm looking into getting the style. the only thing holding me back is battery life. considering its a cdma phone an extended life battery is a must have option.

Lol I had this problem too, my battery would die very fast. I got a new pearl & yet I'm faced with the same problem & Rogers told me bbm shouldn't be draining my battery.. well that's all I really use most of the day & nothing else is running so I guess rogers is wrong?

2 thumbs for extended battery. If anything, for the stress I put a device through, something to take pity on the little F-M1. At least the charging port isn't where the Tour's was!

Any other battery tips for getting the battery to last longer? I've got wi-fi & bluetooth switched off, close apps when I'm done, have solid 3G and hardly used the phone itself since I got it. Although since it is new I've played with it more then what would be consider a normal amount. Still I've had to charge it every night. I'm not sure if it's the apps or the phone but I've caught a few times where the screen will stay on.

I'm still using the original 5.0.0.748 that it came with. I've checked BB desktop for the most "official" recent updates, the only one listed was 5.0.0.604. My service provider has 5.0.0.1082 within there download section.

Update: My 9100 is at %30 right now, it hasn't been charged since Sunday morning.

What is wrong with my phone (Blackberry Style 9670).

I just bought a used Blackberry Style 9670, havent even hooked it up for a service plan yet. Just charged it and let it sit on my desk.

It went from 100% to eventually getting really low within a half day, and I wasnt even using it.

Im my experience, my pearl flip with a c-M2 battery (yellow) was bad, my curve 8530 with a c-S2 (blue) was even worse, and this F-M1 is pathetic.

I always have wifi on, use bluetooth for a few hours each day. I always close apps upon exiting them. They rarely run in the background. I dont use this thing for music ever. Rarely use the camera. Talk for maybe an hour each day. Maybe 2 hours at most but I dont think I do that much.

Perhaps is my battery just fried?
