Pearl 9105 double tapping keys

Hi

I've been having a problem with my Pearl 9105 where it double taps keys. Suppose I press the space bar once, it automatically inserts two spaces (sometimes 3). The same happens for certain other keys. It's as if the keys are super sensitive or something. I'm certain it has nothing to do with me holding the keys for too long, because I'm a fast typist.

Other info:
I have predictive text on, but even if I turn it off, there is no difference.
I have tried taking out the battery for a minute and putting it back to see if it helps, but there were no changes.

Does anyone have any solutions to this? Is it an OS issue or something?

I've been having this problem, too. Frustrating. No solution yet, but know you're not alone.

I had the problem with the menu key. One press took me two steps down the menu.

Eventually I gave up and called my carrier (T-Mobile UK) and they sent a replacement phone.

No problems so far with the new unit.

I had this problem as well, but with the "del" and "9" keys on my 9100. My phone was still under warranty, so I took the phone to the service provider (Claro Dominican Republic), and after a few days they just called me up and gave me a new one. It's been about a month and the new one hasn't given me any problems.

ive been having the same problems as well.....the keys get stuck sometimes as well!
moreover i hav a problem wit the bluetooth and wifi connectivity on my 9105

I recently updated the software on my Pearl to 6.0.0.600 (There is a link at the top of this forum, it's from Vodaphone), and I no longer have double tapping keys. I was about to throw my phone down the staircase with frustration before I upgraded, but now all my problems have been solved. Happy with my phone again
