Hi everyone, I just picked up a 9100 from Virgin Mobile Canada for what I thought was a good price @ $99. I've been using an iPhone 4 since last November and prior to that I was using a BlackBerry 7130e. I was going to get a 9780, but I didn't like the physical size of the full keyboard BB's.
I really like the 9100 and I have updated to OS 6. So far it's working great, although it's a bit short on memory. I'm sure that as I use the phone a little more, I will have a few questions about it, but it's nice to be back on a BlackBerry (and BBM) again. For me, the iPhone just doesn't compare in so many ways. I will miss the little Gas Cubby app, but so far, I have been able to find every other app I had on the iPhone with the exception of Skype.
Virgin Mobile has been a great carrier for ~1 year and I will stick with them. It's nice to have a human answer your 611 call within about a minute.
I have the BlackBerry Combo 55 plan which includes:
200 minutes
10 national buddies (unlimited talk n text)
1GB of data
Voicemail & call display
Unlimited txt and mms
Nights start at 7pm
My bill usually totals around $65-$70/month.
Anyways, nice to meet the fellow Pearl owners. I think it's a relevant design that fills a niche and I hope RIM continues to build them; I will continue to buy them.
