Lost BB Maps
Hi
I lost the ability to search for addresses (about time i upgraded the os) so i deleted and reinstalled, nothing. So VF NZ suggested security wipe and try from there. No icon at all, it says the installer is there but how do you make sure it is actually installed?

It should show up in your Application Management list.
Options>Device>Application Management
(that's if you're on OS6)
FWIW, I also have BB Protect installed and I am able to search for addresses with no problem. Sometimes my Maps program has difficulty finding my location.
edit: are you sure you haven't hid the icon in the tray? Hit the BB key and click "Show All" and see if it pops up. That's if you saw the app in the Application Management list. - 09-17-2011, 08:07 PMThread Author #3
Tried
Listed in apps as "maps installer" v6.1, show all doesnt bring it up either.
Is there another launcher?

says uncaught exception: could not start internal application.

Solved, in a round about way
Obliterated device programs and started over. everything behaving.

I just downloaded Google Maps for my Pearl too, I got it through the Google Search App. I will try and find a location that hosts the download for you. It's a much better piece of software than the Maps program included with the device.

Google Maps
you should be able to install it from there.
