Keypad backlight not working

For some reason, the keypad backlight on my Pearl 3G 9100 (Bell) has stopped working. One of the great things about this phone is the very bright and easy to read keypad.

I've tried it in a dark room and in the light, doesn't work either way.

Is there a setting or something, or does this sound like a problem with the device?

Sounds like a hardware problem. Try reinstalling your OS or trying other os version.

Battery pull (well, actually QuickPull) fixed the problem.

I know this is old and resolved, but I just wanted to say that my phone continues to do the same thing. The keypad backlight will work for some time then it will randomly stop working and I have to do a battery pull to get it to come back.

I don't think it's resolved. It continues to happen to me too. I just upgraded my 9100 to the Telus 6.0.448 update, but it still happens.
