How do you lock your 9100/9105?

Hi,

Bought my wife a case for her 9105 because she always forgets to lock it and ends up phoning her brother by accident coz he's first in her phone book. I thought it would 'sleep' when put in it, but it doesn't. I notice there are no magnets in the case.

I can't find an auto lock function on the phone to lock it or any time out settings so I wondered how others delt with this? Thanks.

Press and hold the symbol key (one with the *) to lock and hit the mute key (vary top & center) to unlock

+1 exactly, thats the best way... or you can also get a third party app for that, but it works better if you do it...

Left side convenience button set to Password Lock.

if the 9105 is the same as the 9100, there is a setting under:

Options > Password > Lock Handheld Upon Holstering: YES / NO

Set that to YES, and it should accomplish what you want.

I have it set that it automatically locks itself (with password) after 10 minutes. You can set it to however many minutes you want. You can also download a program that does the same for you without having to use a password.
