Fast battery drain, camera not working, constant locking, potential water damage

My blackberry pearl 3g 9105 has decided to die on me. i upgraded (unwillingly, my dad did it) it because i was trying to upload photos. at ten pm that night my battery was fully charged with no apps running and by 8 the next morning it was totally drained. there was also a problem with internet, however this was the day before bb died and it started working a few days after that furore was sorted. i also tried taking pictures at a gig two days after the upgrade and could only take 12 photos. i was not happy at this since my average is around 150. lastly, it keeps locking and results in on average 1-4 battery pulls needed a day. the battery also drains when it's off.
since its still under warranty, i went to the shop to try and get it fixed and the lady even commented on the pristine condition its in. i then got a phone call telling me that it's water damaged and "has been deemed to be beyond economical repair and this type of damage can't be repaired".
Sorry for the massive rant, but i really want my blackberry to work again.
does anybody know if the described symptoms are indicative of water damage and is there anything that might be able to fix it?

at the bottom of the battery, there is a tiny white square sticker and another white square sticker directly in front of it on the phone....if this turns red, it is indicative of water damage....

yes, the sticker on the battery is red, but the one on the phone is white. also, do you know if there are any generic symptoms of water damage?
