Default Error Msg when loading new OS for Pearl 9100 - looking for the original preloaded OS

Dear forumers....

I'm looking for this very very old OS for 3G 9100 which is 5.0.0.350 which was originally pre-loaded in this device... I have accidentally wipe my BB and when I try to reinstall newer OS i.e. 6.0 or 5.0.0.604 I get the error msg "This system software is not designed for the connected device [A:0x00000043]" and after that i just get the white screen with "reload software: 507"

The original OS before the accident happen was OS5.0.0.350 and hopefully this will solve my sleepless night...

Thanks in advance...

*edit: I'm using a bold 9700 and this Pearl was an additional device I try to play with...

you don't need the original + there are far better versions around. did you delete the vendor file? better yet, did you do a search of how to do an os load from another carriers os?

Yup. Tried everything. I started with OS6. I thought it was os problem so went back to a earlier Os6. Same issue. Downgrade some more to latest official Os5 same issue. Then downgraded to oldest Os5 I can find which is 5.0.0.604 and still encounter the same issue.

I'm actually suspecting that the phone was a pre-release pearl 9100 hence all these issue... But can anyone confirm my suspicion?

What do you mean by go back further on operating systems? Do you mean downgrading? If its downgrading, yes bbsak can do that.

When I say "go back further" , I was hoping the bbsak would have all operating systems present and past so you could choose and download any OS without having to deinstall the one your currently on ... So in hoping it would have the one you dont have now ... How far off am I right now? Thanks

Why is 0044 = doomed?

Anyway my phone is already having the white screen of death. Can't even check the imei anymore unless its physically written somewhere

0044-engineering unit, not doomed, just limited - sometimes email issues, sometimes RIM turns down the device. # is also under the battery
