    Default 9105 or 9780 ?

I keep going around in circles with which phone to go for . I've been using Sony Ericsson's for years now , favourite one being the candy bar W810 . I've been looking at BB's for a good few months now and had been sold on the 9105 but then found myself concidering the 9780 after reading stuff on this Forum . I'm more of a talker and texter than a browser and don't get alot of emails .I'm looking forward to BBM and having easy/fast access to Facebook.
I managed to borrow a Bold 9000 for a week or so but found myself getting frustrated with the keyboard ,spend more time deleting letters I didn't mean to tap- I can text very fast on T9 with my W995. Athough I like the idea of the 9780 because its an awesome phone ,I don't know if I could live with it day to day. I don't do low spec phones ,usually go for top of the range models . This is where the 9105 comes in - all the BB features with a normal keyboard .
1./ Is there anyone that's changed from the qwerty keyboard BB to the 9105 and wished they hadn't ?

2./ Anyone moved over to BB 9105 from a Nokia/Sony Ericsson ? How do you find the suretype compared to T9 ? How do you get on with the keyboard functions ?

    all views and opinions welcolme

    1. The Pearl keyboard is unorthodox, but can be extremely fast with suretype if you get used to it. It depends on if you're open minded to a different style keyboard.

    2. Suretype crushes T9 in my opinion

    3. I am all for the recommending the 9780 over all of the options presented. Best features and hardware.. plus I think web browsing will be best on the 9780.

i moved from a bold 9000 to pearl 9100>>>> must say that i love the phone as its quite sleek.... although i miss the full qwerty of the bold>>>> the bold did have one of the most comfortable keypads.....
but yes.... once you get used to the new keypad.... suretype works wonders.... its far better than T9.....
I understand that the pearl 9105 will be cheaper to get than the 9780.... so if you need a better camera & full keypad... go for the 9780, else go for 9105

well the talk plan that I'm on would usually mean I don't pay for either phone so the cost doesn't come into it. I found a guy at work with a 9105 ,,managed to borrow it for 5-10mins and had a play around with it . It seems easy and quick to type with ,sure type seems quite good as well- doesn't feel as solid as the 9000 that I've got on loan though. The 9780 looks like it will be a good performing phone that will handle os6 with not too many issues ,just wondering how the 9105 will work with it when it arrives ? I could probably get a 9800 Torch instead but I'm not getting good vibes on here regarding it + I'm not a big touch screen fan,,,my wife has the iphone 4 which I don't like to use.
I'm still trying to work out how I'm going to transfer the 550 numbers from my Sony onto a Blackberry though
thanks for replys so far ,keep opinions/views coming

I have both a 9100 and a 9780. As earlier poster said, if you can do without 5MP camera and are not needing an extra 200 MB of memory for apps, and like T9, you will love the 9105/9100. This phone is also on path for an OS6 upgrade. The 9780 is a lovely phone. Full keyboard, OS6, bigger screen with the leathery back, but I suspect it is much different than your Ericsson T9 expertise than the 9105.

I have 1400 contacts, and take advantage of T-mobile's Contacts backup and restore to move them OTA from one device to the next. Might your carrier offer similar?
