9100 Installing new OS without a 'Subscription'

Ok so this problem is something I've not needed to work around until now.

I'm a BES Admin so updating BB handsets has never been a problem. UNTIL my girlfriend got herself a 9100 today.

When I use the Apploader to update the OS, it says OS6 is only available when you have an active subscription.

Now what I would like to know: is there a way around this and does it mean BES or BIS?

Nevermind, a different SIM card allowed the OS update. Even thought the SIM I tried first is on a BES plan.

Anyway all fixed. OS6 installed!
