I just switched to a brand new Passport today! Coming from a Z30 which I loved. Definitely have to get used to typing on a physical keyboard again. Right now I am much slower typing then I was on my Z30. Hopefully I gain speed quickly. I love the look and feel of this phone! Size is no issue as I have huge hands.

I went from z10 to z30 and now passport. Have never looked back. Wife has the 30. I don't miss it. You'll love the passport

Same path here. If you are like me, you will never be as fast as on Z30... but will be reasonably fast on Passport and love Passport 's superior performance and screen clarity. And you will be dreaming for Z50 to be made.

I was considering getting the Z30 because it is in sale at 249$ right now on crackberry. I really love the passport but wish the battery could make a day or a tiny more.

I have both and both are exceptional in their respective uses. The Z30 is an excellent all touch mobile device. And the Passport is a excellent hybrid mobile device unlike any ever made. Can't go wrong with either. (I firmly believe the Z30 on the latest 10.3.1 is the most underrated all touch mobile phone available) A younger gal that works for me has the iPhone 6 and it has nothing on my Z30. I simply don't understand the Apple hype. (home button, home button, home button) hats off to them and their marketing. Imagine their marketing team with the likes of the Passport.

Only if Z30 has better screen... only if Passport has a normal 5" form factor that is large enough for screen real state and small enough for single handed uses.

That's why Z50 is the perfect smartphone for me. But I suspect that when Z50 finally comes, I will be craving for seamless smartwatch interfaces

Congratulations! I made the same move back in October. Don't worry about the typing speed, it took me a week to get used of the keyboard and two weeks to write as fast as with the Z30.

Jeez, you certainly do have giant hands! I'm a big girl and I still require 2 hands to hold it definitely a good choice though.

I personally prefer physical keys because I hate having to hunt and peck on a vkb. Also auto-correct can get me into some serious misunderstandings! Lol

Same path for me. I don't know if I'm typing faster but I'm definitely more accurate. (I guess that means faster when you include the time it takes to correct a few misspellings)
Another big plus, is the immediate activation of the universal search/assistant by just starting typing.

I came from a Z30 ( and before that Z10 ) yes typing at first was a little awkward but hey a complete different phone so what do you expect. Can't expect that within a day you are one with your new phone. After a few days typing got better. And then never looked back at the Z30!

I love the Passport but after three months I'm still not as fast as I was on the Z30 VKB although I'm close. Still it's a great phone with an amazing form-factor (I'd be hard pressed to go back to a regular width phone) and gets a lot more attention than any smartphone has since my Pre3.
